Spread gun:

In v1.1 or later play the first mission. Use the fence at the start
to reach the watch post platform directly next to it. Once there,
jump and shoot upward a few times. A hidden power-up for the Spread
gun will drop.


8-Bit Commando cheat codes:

The following codes must be entered on the title screen using
the keyboard:

Code                                          Effect
---------------------------------------------------------------  
up(x3) down(x3) left right                  - unlocks all the levels.
up down up down left(x2) right(x2)          - invincibility. (*)
down(x4) left(x4) right(x4)                 - shows FPS rate on the screen.
left right left right left right left right - plays a hidden chiptune song.

(*) The online high-score doesn't work with this cheat.
